    Federal Q2b restoration...

This is a 70's model Q siren we are restoring at our firehouse. So far we have the tear down complete and some parts ordered from Federal Signal. All the tins are being sent to San Antonio for re chroming.

We were missing our grill and when we were talking to the chrome shop guy about prices and told him we were missing that part he tells us he has one some guy left there 5 years ago and that we can have it.

Chrome shop guy said 2-3 weeks on the tins, brake parts should be in tomorrow or early next week. Yeah, one in a million chance of that guy having just the grill. Called FS and they wanted $357.75 for just the grill so he saved us big time.
