I was asked to make a pitching mound for our baseball team. The mounds we found online sell for up to 3000.00 so the coach asked if i could make one. I made this mound out of 1" x 1/8" angle iron and 1 1/2" flat metal. I have about 200.00 tied up in it.

I started with the basic frame work 8ft. X 42" the cross bar is at 36"

Adding the frame for the side slopes.

Getting everything braced and welded up

Finished frame

Frame painted with holes drilled for screwing on the boards.

Sizing up the boards

Cutting outdoor carpet to size.

Boards covered with carpet

Boards covered and ready to be screwed into place. Just need to add the pitching rubber and get it set out in the field.
