Bluetooth stereo cooler with a twist

Since this will spend a good bit of time as the tunes for the boat I wanted a couple of things I had not seen before.

    1. Blue tooth capability so I could control it from the helm.
    2. Room for cold drinks because I like drinks and because the ice will help keep the amp from overheating.

Everything is based on a 48 qt rolling cooler, 4 ea Polk Audio 6 1/2" water proof speakers, and an old school Punch 150 I had sitting for a WHILE!

Here is the exterior showing the sealed compartment in the center for cold drinks, amp and speakers to right, Bluetooth receiver, battery, and battery charger to the left.

I failed to get an exterior pic of the back but I also wired in a sealed plug so that I can plug in the charger without opening the lid.

All of this normally runs off of my iPhone via bluetooth but can also be wired to an iPod / Mp3

Let me tell you that old Punch 150 pushes some sound out of those Polks!

Sweet setup we usually use the cube style coolers cause we mainly use the radio for river floating and they slide right in a tube

                A punch 150?

I used to run two 15s off a Punch 75 and it was LOUD!

That's amazing. Not the cooler. But the fact that you have a old 150 still working. Those where the amps back in the day. 45,150,300,650 and the all famous kilo. The memory,s I have of those days.

I built this one to put on my flounder boat. Clarion deck, Rockford fosgate prime 500, 2 10" subs, 2 6x9s. I got a little carried away. I wanted to be able to hear it over the air motor while gigging, I accomplished my goal but it weighs more than a average sized person. It also works great for parties, or just generally disturbing the peace in my neighborhood ( just a ask my neighbors ).

Nice rig! Do you have any trouble with the amp heating up with it all closed up sitting in the sun?
