    building a roping dummy

    anyone know where I can get some instructions to build a roping dummy? Ill be honest.. I am not very handy with things so pictures would help a lot too. Thanks for yalls help.

    They sell a steer head that you just shove into a bale of hay works pretty good

          Get a wooden saw horse. Cut a tire in half and attach to the end of the saw horse for the head. Other end add some 1x4s parallel to the ground for heel practice. That's what we used.

            I head.. And I would do the bale but I am in an apt now and Im not allowed to leave it out there. So I was going to try and make one of those PVC pipe ones.. I figured they couldn't be that hard

              It's to easy to go buy a Jake steer now days. It's the closest thing to roping a real steer you can get and you can swap the horns. I used the long horns cause if you rope them properly your roll a fat knot on lil horns. But I also headed with a medium soft or a soft.
