                  That's looking fan-freaking-tastic! I've wanted to do something like that for a while. I thought about sinking a 24" diameter culvert for a "fire-hole" 3 to 4 feet down and putting 6" rocks in the bottom for drainage. Then surround it all with flagstone and crushed granite like you have done. I saw that done at a house we rented (Encino Lodge) a while back in Concan.

                              Finally got around to working on the insert, a 36" end cap, and a donut cut from 1/4" plate with a waterjet. Welded it up Saturday, painted it Sunday and had a good fire in it yesterday evening. We layed a piece of expanded metal on it and grilled sausage for dinner. I'll frame up the metal with 1" angle iron and make a respectable grilling surface soon.
