I use a THIN layer of gorilla glue then use a paint scraper to smooth it out on the skin before laying it on the board. Then put a few boards on it to weigh it down while the glue settles.

And this won't discolor the skin?

Take y'all way back remember when snake skin was used for just about everything, watch band's, hat bands and we won't forget boots well we could afford that kind of stuff growing upso me and a few of my buddy's would go down to the railroad tracks that stretched across the bayou with our pellet guns and would shoot water moccasins and did the same thing. They came out alright but we bring kids didn't have a bunch of fancy stuff so when those skins got wet omg they smelled so bad... Just wanted to share
