As a "bow hunter" I like every part about the sport, including the artistic side. I have been cresting my own arrows for about a year now and just recently tried a new method. I went to Wal-Mart and purchased every color fine point Sharpie they had. Price=$12.00. If any of you crest your own and are not professionals, you know that sometimes it can be a little streaky, or out of line, do to the type of brush and thickness of the paint you are using. Not any more. The Sharpies work amazing and the batch of arrows I'm working on now look just as good as the ones I used to pay to have crested. Try it out and let me know what you think.
