Wife has asked for a patio cover since we finally getting concrete poured between our house and pool. Cover or lean to will be 14’x 58’. House is pier and beam with hardee siding. 11’ from top of patio to bottom side of eave so thinking about just going to bottom side of eaves so I don’t have to worry about moving gutters or tying into facia. 1/12 roof pitch be ok? Wife would like ceiling fans so trying to keep it somewhat tall. Considering steel structure as I have several 3x3-20’ square tubing left from fence we built. Any ideas on tying cee purling to house? Putting embed plates in slab to weld to if I go this route. When welding post to purlin that is tied to house should I be concerned with hardee? House was just painted white less than 6 months ago so don’t want to burn up paint. Looking at 4 post in front and 4 along house 14’ apart. Sound sufficient? Or should I go the lumber route?
