I thought this same thing honestly. I don’t usually like a lot of gold but it seemed to anchor the piece. I have a brown knife coming up i may try some gold with now. Thanks for the kind words.

Looks like I may have 5 or 6 to take with me. Began a new design this week that I'll hope to have done with the exception of engraving. It's a different shape and feel from my other lineups that I'm pretty excited about. Got the bolsters shaped, fitted and counterbored this morning. Below are pics of that and a couple others I hope to have at the show.
