Still refining it's appearance but attempted a wider target forearm.
The barrel shoots like a rifle and I have no complaints to it's accuracy!
Only used light bullets (125 gr) so far with a below max charge of 296.
It's a strong competitor to my 357 maximum barrel.
I do shape some unusual wood for the little break-actions.

Nice work! Your grips look very similar to some customs I have on my encore. I got mine from an older gentleman in the Houston area probably 20 years ago.

                Thank you for your compliment.
Perhaps I was influenced subconciously by viewing his accomplishments without remembering where I saw them!?!
I am not aware from where my inspiration was drawn.

Looks great I need to do something for my 6.8 like that.

Your Rem 6.8 SPC barrel is probably a full 23" long and offers better ballistics than the barrels it was designed for.
I assume this because I haven't seen a 21" barrel in that chamber offered.
The twist is still 1:10 like the best AR barrels and 20" is long for them.
You'll gain probably 75 FPS over them with heavy bullets (115 gr).
The favored powder for my 6.8 is IMR8208XBR. I do prefer the lighter bullets tho... save the heavies for the .270

I need to get some custom wood for my Contender! Do you use a hanger bar or pillar bedding system on your forearms?

I just drill a hole through the forearm perpindicular to the barrel channel and countersink for the screw head from the forearm's base.
Contender needs additional countersink cut in barrel channel to accommodate the dovetailed pillar.
Encore screws 8-40, Contender is 10-32 length determined by forearms depth. Screws available frome Ace Hardware.
Forearms require much less inletting than a grip or buttstock.
