    Trampoline frame blind

Ive often wondered if anyone had ideas for building a ground blind out of old trampoline frames. Any ideas?

I used some to frame hog paneling for a feeder. Never thought to make a blind, but I think it could work

Sounds like a good idea, work it out kind of like a cattle panel blind. Only problem I can think of is that they may not be tall enough. Seems like most of the trampolines I've been around were about 3 feet or so off the ground. Maybe stack two on top of each other? Maybe just extend the legs a foot or two? I don't know, but sure seems like it would be plenty strong, and big enough for a couple of small families to hunt out of.

They work for hog traps so I don't see why it wouldn't work. But lime mentioned, I think it would have to be raised some how.

You can get them free all day long so I'm going to give it a whirl.

We just strapped panels to the frame ( with the big, heavy duty stainless straps) and rigged a drop door out of 1/4 plate steel..... Cheap and easy!

And if a deer or other non legal to trap critter got in.... Nice open top to jump out. And as mentioned before.... You can find frames free all over the place. We always went for the 14-18 ft frames.

I know a guy who used a trampoline frame to make a quonset style greenhouse. I would think the concept would also work for a blind. He took the frame apart to make two hoops, one for each end, then welded some angle iron lengthwise to hold it together and tacked on cattle panels in the same hoop shape. You could then cover it with carpet or some other durable material.

I built a 7 foot tall stand from the legs of a trampoline.

I built the stand using 4, 11 inch wide x 48 inch long x 3/4 thick boards, and the legs from the trampoline. I cut a few pipes, put a few pipes together, and drilled some holes for nuts and bolts to hold it all together. I has a 6 rung ladder attached to 2 of the 4 legs and a platform with one board that flips back on hinges for access when climbing onto the platform. It is light enough to move a short distance all put together. Take out 8 bolts to take it appart and stow it in a small stack. I could have made it taller, but I ran out of pipe sections. I may not have gotten all of the legs and pipe sections from the trampoline that someone else had dismantled.

I built a goat hauling cage for the back of truck out of a old trampoline. Cages like that cost $400 and mine cost $20 for welding rods.
