What kind of barrel channel was in the stock? Was it wide, leave it as is?

Bedded from the recoil lug back. Barrel is freefloated. I had to dremel the HECK out of the stock to get the barrel to float. It handles and shoots great. Groups are getting better the more I shoot it.
