    Will this work?

We recently took over a 75x75 barbed wire feed pen in a new area on our lease. We added hog panels to the inside of the existing wire. On both ends, we left an opening where 2 of the panels over lapped about 20 inches wide, kinda spring loaded. Our thinking is the hogs will get used to entering/exiting. When we're there, we'll unwire the doors. Hogs will be able to push through but it'll close behind them. Also, if hogs get to be too big of a problem we can wire the doors closed and keep em out. Did I explain this where a human can understand or am I only making sense to me like usual?

Sounds good. My only concern would be a calf getting in and being stuck.

when u do decide to use itas a trap make sure you put some water in ther for them....they will die in just a couple days without water. that thing will hold a ton of pigs. good luck!

Yes it will work fine. I have a friend that has a set up like that and he has trapped hundreds of hogs in it.

It will work just be ready to shoot them when you get close to the pen as they will be trying to go over the top when they see you.

I designed a hog trap like this long time ago worked better than any I've ever seen! Good luck!

if it doesnt work just keep narrowin the fence part where they have to push in. just a little at time til its all the way shut and they will get used to it and like you said just push their way in.

looks like it will work tho! good luck.

built one close to that a couple years ago. Worked like a charm. i put a bungee on it so that it would go ahead and pull it back tight when they squeezed through.
