Has anyone tried to make a rodenator aka propane mole/gopher blaster?

I am thinking of making on.

First attempt on a mole blaster failed.

I need a better sparker/igniter. I tried a 10 mile fence charger and a spark plug. I will have to go back to the drawing board.

Dont know what this is but a lantern igniter works real well on a spud gun

Is your gas source attached or are you adding gas then removing the gas source before ignition?

If you are using a constantly attached source Id be real concerned about flash back. I would definitely want some safety devices between the source and ignition.

I've built several that worked great with hydrogen. 1'' brass tube about 4 inches long threaded on both ends stuffed full of BRASS wool, nipple caps on both ends for attaching the line to. Worked great for preventing hydrogen from getting back to my bubbler. Theoretically should work similar with propane but I've never tried it.
