Lookin for gas tank options.
Found this 80 XR250 tank pretty reasonable in good shape.

Not too long. I like the Virago tank on #53 in the 1st or 2nd post. Looks good on the bike.

well i hope your happy with yourself!! after reading this thread i stayed up WAY past my bed time looking at bike pics on the web.Then i slept through the alarm and was almost late for work.At work i spent all day daydreaming about building bikes. i have never owned or even drove a bike but when i saw the pic of the number 53 bike i fell in love. that is the most beautiful bike i have ever seen. PLEASE keep this thread updated. i wish i had the skills you do to tackle a project of my own. AWSOME thread, and keep up the good work. your bike will something to be proud of.Comment

He got me too Froghunter. My neighbors have been riding in this nice weather and it's killing me that I don't have a bike. Wife said just one more year and when all our debts are paid off, I can buy ANY bike I want and she won't say a word. Still very tempting to think I could get a project bike under a grand and be riding this summer
Plus, I'd have something cool and unique.
