    Christmas Tree Trail Cam Stand

Last week I posted up a Clearance Alert from Wal Mart on Christmas Tree Stands. They were on clearance for under 2 bucks. Well just got around to the completion and pics.

I had everything laying around from previous projects required except the plastic stand. Took about 30 minutes to assemble. I'll paint the wood eventually.

    Materials
treated 2x4 at about 36" for post
2ea 3" deck screws to secure camera
2ea 1/4" plywood glued tigther to make 1/2" thick
    roughly 7 1/2" x 12"
1 3/4" staples to secure plywood to post
    3/4" x 3/4" x 2 1/2" cedar from fence picket
to use a cam rest underneath.

The plastic is thick. It doesnt feel unstable, as the base is wide. I was planning on diggin it into the dirt some or just piling on rocks if need be. But also thought of drilling a couple holes on the bottom flange a then driving the big nail type tent stakes to help keep it upright.
