Anyone know the way that companys get the apple flavoring in/on their corn that they sell in bags. I would think that liquids might spoil it. Thanx in advance..
Hank
Wondered this myself....
I would think some kind of powder but a liquid followed by an extreme low heat to dry out doesn't seem far fetched. But then again add heat and get apple flavored popcorn. Lol
Wildgame Innovations makes an additive for your feeders called "Feeder Fire" It is apple scented and works great. It is pelletized, and does not swell like the protein pellets do. I use it in all of my feeders and the deer love it. I have found it at Academy.
We have a local Seed distributer here in Childress that sells prepackaged corn that is apple scented. It is the same price for 50lb bag as Wal-Mart sells 6.25$ or so. I can't recall the name of the seed, it's in a white bag with green camo lettering.. It is at Nixland seed company in Childress for all you guys that travel the 287

Do you put it in ur bags and leave it. Does it spoil in bags or feeder???
since your only putting a little in with the corn it won’t spoil or rot in the feeder..... we would just open the bag put some in and mix it up, then we put the corn in the feeders.... i said 2 oz. per 50# but that’s a little heavy and we would just hand corn it......i know we used to put the 4 oz. bottle to one 200# feeder, so about 1 oz. per bag in the feeder....
