    Paper Tuner

Realized my bow was WAY outta tune. Changed my WB out for a Trophy Ridge drop-away, centered it, then wanted to paper tune. With some scrap around the garage & a roll of papper from Home Depot, here's my new paper tuner ...

    I used 2ea 2x4-92-5/8 studs, 1ea 1x3-8 furring strip, 2ea 1/2" all thread w/ 4ea nuts & washers, & 1ea 3/4" piece of scrap ply I had layin around.

I cut the 2x4s at 6', used the drop for the base (3/4" ply went on top of that to stabilize), bored the holes for the all thread, & use little clamps to hold the paper.

Works like a champ. After about a 6-pack of Shiner 101, I'm happy to say I'm shootin bullet holes!

Fergot to add ... the paper is 12" wide & the stand is 13"wide inside. SacCrete is there just to stabilize on my garage floor.

Neat idea. What does a roll of paper cost at Home Depot?

'bout $3-4. I want to find a little thicker paper tho ... That paper was a little thinner than I wanted.

ElWhompo, the best paper to use is butcher paper. I tried many kinds and it is the best I shoot at the non slick side and it works great. I put the roll on the top and can unroll the paper and tape it at the bottom, when it is shot up just unroll a little more and retape. My paper tuner is made out of PVC pipe so the roll of paper just fits inside the top piece of PVC and I use a bungee cord stretched over the top of the roll and hooked on the downward legs to keep it tight. A small roll of 12" wide paper from the grocery store is only a couple of bucks.
