    Anyone here work for Schlumberger?

The company changed its name to SLB.

I think that breaks down to Schlumberger Limited ___

What does the B stand for?

SLB just bought the company I work for - GyroData.

It's their stock symbol, it doesn't stand for anything. SLB is a technology company that does oil and gas now is how I understand the shift.

Per my wife who has been there 11 years now.

What did Gyro Data do with their corporate office/warehouse off of Telge in Cypress? I built that facility 12-13 years ago.

                Sold it

GyroData ran into tough times and had to sell a big chunk of the business. Then they were stuck with massive warehouse space. They just sold that off last year. This year they finally got bought by SLB. You build one heck of a building.

I was pretty proud to be a part of that project. It was a lot of work, but turned out great, especially the polished concrete in the lobby & break room.

I worked for GyroData when it was a startup. Went to work there in 1982 and moved on in 1991. One of my best friends was part owner. We served together in Vietnam.

I made some lifelong friends there that I still stay in touch with. Tell Walter K. hello for me. Did you know Danny Adams?

I don't know Walter or Danny. I am part of IT and don't work much with engineering or manufacturing. I am the one guy that uses a wheelchair there so everyone sees me from time to time.
