    it's not an issue ... it's a feature .. all Ev's do that!

    during cold weather , batteries are inefficient.. this would make your gas generator use way more fuel, reducing your mileage and ultimately bad for the environment .

    disabling your vehicle reduces it's emissions therefore helping the environment.

            Treat an EV about like a diesel.... need to try and keep it warm as possible.

              Funny you say that. I was going to take my diesel truck to work last Friday instead of the EV because I had planned to stop at the deer lease after work. I plugged the extension cord into the block heater the night before but forgot to plug the cord into the wall. Needless to say it didn't start the next morning in single digit temps. My EV started right up because it was plugged in inside the garage so I ended up driving it.

                The car was cold and reported a drive train malfunction. After a couple restarts, drive around the block a couple times, warm up the car - everything worked.

                I shared on the green screen just for the fun of it and some people are wanting to get an ev and others just like laughing at people with ev's.

                I did not know you had to plug in a diesel in very cold weather or you get to face the same thing about not starting in the cold.

                Other than that - move along. Nothing to see here.

                  Yeah, diesel fuel can gel in really cold temps. You can avoid it by putting anti-gel in the fuel which I actual did do. Problem was I didn't let it run long enough to purge out the filters and lines. Then I didn't plug the block heater in so I failed twice. Either one done correctly probably would've had it start right up.
                  During icemagedon it started every morning but I had been running anti-gel in it for days prior. It was much colder then than this year.
