Yesterday, the Census Bureau released its annual population estimates for the year running from July 2021 through June 2022. The changes show a continued pattern of population-shifting towards the South and West, and of big blue states losing population to big red states.
Texas added 470,708 new residents followed by Florida, N.Carolina, Georgia and Arizona. If all those new Texans started their own town it would be the 7th largest city in the state.
(Texas was #1 in raw numbers but #4 in percentage growth)
