I'm just catching up on all this. Truly amazing to see the stance that Apple is taking.

Ironically Apple was not on the governments side just a few years ago -

The government’s latest request for Apple’s help echoes a similar situation in 2016, when investigators wanted the company’s assistance to unlock an iPhone used by one of the shooters in the 2015 attack in San Bernardino, California. At the time, Apple refused to create decryption software for the FBI, saying the request violated the company’s First Amendment and Fifth Amendment rights. If such software were created, some fear, it could get into the hands of hackers and other bad actors who could use it for their own nefarious ends.

This was a bit different as I understand it. Apple was more than willing to unlock the phone. They were not willing to give the FBI the power to unlock ALL the phones. For that I agree with Apple. I could be wrong but that is how it was explained in an article I read back when that went down.

With that said **** the CCP and **** Apple.

In what upside down world does allowing people to speak freely constitute a threat to free speech?

I’m sitting in continuing Ed this week and there is a guy in here who thinks Elon is going to destroy twitter from firing so many employees to now starting a fight with apple. I disagree, twitter will be the downfall of the commie/marxist and apple is being exposed for the company they truly are.

Yeah and soon after it's founding, Google's corporate motto was ...
