Why the negativity over the election?

I get the Harris County folks, sorry that sucks that people do not vote in your county, but....

The House is going to the Republicans. The Senate looks like it is most likely going to the Republicans. So what is with all the Debbie Downers? At this point it is obvious there was never a "red wave" so why be butt hurt about something that never existed? Even if they just have the House Biden can get nothing done.

Because their savior Donald Trump did more damage to the election and is clearly no longer an asset to the GOP. They didn’t get the results they wanted so some of these elections had to obviously been rigged. Gridlock government is a step in the right direction. The GOP has 2 years to start grooming the right candidate for the presidency (it’s not trump).

Also, a lot of the candidates that lost were really bad candidates that barely won in the primary. Just because they have an R next to their name does not make them superior to one with a D. Then division that trump causes by his endorsement did help.

I am a Harris county guy. FYI, it was reported this morning that Harris county is still waiting to send its certified results to the state. We are the only county the state is waiting on. Again. What a f-ing joke. And we voted out another R county commissioner. One that was actually building roads, not jumping into liberal causes like bike trails.

I see the leftys still don't mind exposing themselves. Always funny when the first statement they make completely contradicts what OP asked and is disconnected form actual reality. Which is, nation wide, there were tons of R wins. Texas floundered, but dang, most places are more red.

Because we can see the system is broken beyond repair. The elites may give us a small moral victory every few years so some folks believe their vote still means something. But never enough to make any changes and give power back to the citizens. If they steal every election, there would be widespread revolt. If they take 90% and give the peasants 10% it keeps the peace.

Been voting a long time. Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. Happy when we win and when we lose we try harder next time.
On here it’s different. If we win the election went great but if we lose the dems cheated and everyone that accepts that you can’t win em all is a commie democrat.

Maybe the realization that if the last two years couldn't produce a red wave, there may not be anything that can. And we'll just continually slide a direction most people on this site do not want to go.

I get the Harris County thing like I stated in the OP. My wife works in The Woodlands for OnG. Multiple companies over the years. Every election cycle everyone that lives in Houston bitches about their County and City problems and every election she asks them did you vote and the reply is always "I was too busy". People are too "fat and comfortable" to bother to vote. Turn out down there is always abysmal.

I never expected a red Tsunami but was hoping and praying for a win in the senate and fairly confident in a house win. Neither is at 100% right now although it's about 95% on the house and senate is anybody's guess. All these delays in vote counts spell trouble to me. This is the way cheating happens.

But the dems didnt win. They have lost the House and most likely the Senate. I get local elections may have not gone the way they wanted them to but if you take control of Congress how is that not a huge win?

Not sure what election you were watching... But what I saw was Beto not losing by a large enough margin, Fetterman won (just wow), and a dead guy won. And a couple key areas, for some odd reason , still can't get the votes counted.

But if you think there's "nothing to see here" feel free to pull your head out once in a while to breathe.

So this begs the question..... Do the Rhino's actually want true conservatives to win in these elections or would they rather have an establishment candidate even if it is a Democrat if it means they all get to keep playing their graft game?

I think the Mitch McConnel's and the John Cornyn's of the world would rather have a Nancy Pelosi in charge than any "MAGA" republican.

The republicans are better today than they were before the election and it may get better after everything is finished, on a national level. Texas did pretty well too. For local governments, like the one I live in, Harris County, we got smoked.

A complete blow out for federal, state and local is what I was hoping for but it didn't happen. What did happen is still a positive for republicans.
