    White Claw Assault

The guy is an idiot, he’s wrong, etc but I really can’t get behind throwing a beer can being assault with a deadly weapon. I know they want to make an example of him but not sure the charge fits the crime. Even Ted Cruz seems unfazed by the whole deal.

He should get a misdemeanor for assaulting Cruz but get charged with a felony for drinking white claw.

Would a brick up side your head qualify- A battery? I bottle instead of can? It meets the elements of a deadly weapon and I’ve charged plenty of people with exact same charge exact same weapon.

I’ve seen one dead and several in a a level 1 trauma center with life changing injuries from the results of a drink can or bottle

Cruz said "I'm grateful for the quick police response, and grateful that clown has a noodle for an arm"

Maybe consider there are people rotting in a dc prison, without bail and right to a fair and speedy trial, for peacefully protesting the 2020 election. Lock that noodle arm up and make a complete example out of him.

Agreed. A full 12oz can could cause some significant injuries. Ted Cruz or Al Green, it could’ve been bad either way.

I can't get behind the idea of not charging him with assault of a deadly weapon. I hope they make an example out of him, he gets a felony charge on record so he can't vote and does prison time.
