    Abbott

I went to his campaign event today. Mostly just a vilifying Beto and talking to the base about poorly defined issues like “reducing property taxes “and making sure that no CRT was taught in schools. I didn’t vote for him in the primary, but he’s been a semi acceptable governor. Better than the alternative in this election, anyway.

Notes from the speeches… standard red rhetoric, no surprises IMO

    Burrows
Democrats blah blah- open borders, defund police, etc.
    Get out and vote

    Charles Perry
If Texas were to fall to the left there would not be a nation. “It’s your obligation to protect your right of self government”. Govt grounded in principles, not policies. “Greatest state in the union.”

    Greg Abbott
    “Room is so packed”
Great news- we are going to win in 2022
    Paint Tx red
Tx fastest growing economy in US- more new jobs than any other state. Beto wants increased taxes and more regulations. We are not going to let that happen.
Our economy is doing so well, 27 billion dollar budget surplus. “Half returned to Tx by property taxes” “we will cut your property taxes”
Oil and gas- “god guns and oil” surplus comes from oil and gas tax. Beto wants to destroy… green new deal. Keep Tx #1 and keep us energy independent

Woke-crt- no govt bureaucrat loves a child more than their parents. “Best country in the history of the world and we are not going to lose that now”

Called out and thanked veterans for serving

If you want CRT out of your schools, vote for me

We don’t defund police, we support them. We passed a law bill To defund cities that defund police.

Border- Biden, total chaos. Beto- reduce immigration enforcement. 2 1/2 years- most secure border in 4 decades. Now highest, 2.2 mil last year.

1st state to “build our own wall”. National guard and DPS, turning back and repelling, arresting. Trespassing, caught a guy with a murder warrant. BP are filling out paperwork, not patrolling the border. Bussing migrants to DC!

“Taxes jobs safety freedom values, all are on the line in this election. Winner or loser will not be me, it’ll be you! Your Freedoms, families, future.”

It takes your effort to go vote.

He's a swampy clown just getting rich off our backs, but still better than Beto. This cycle just never ends.

I voted early yesterday in Pearland. Every race had a R D L, 26 races and all my votes were a R. I would like to vote some Libertarians but this only splits the vote and dems win. Hold your nose and vote for Abbott and all Republican because the dems SUCK.

Glad he could leave the crowd inspired, and not angry.

              Thanks for sharing Jason.

Same here... held my nose and voted for the sorry sapsucker! Every year, I emailed Gov. Goodhair (Perry) and asked him how it felt to be elected as "the lesser of 2 evils"... First two terms, he responded with a standard form "thank you for your vote"... after that, nothing...

                            Only 6 to choose from.

                            R. Violated my constitutional rights
                            D. Promises to violate my constitutional rights
                            G. Hard pass
                            L. For open borders de jure
                            I. For open borders de facto
                            I. Not enough information

I can’t stomach none of em. Its like throwing a dart at a board made of dog ****.

The problem is that no matter what, for the next four years a Texas governor will be a D or an R. There is no way around it.

If a person is living off the grid completely then it probably won’t matter as much. I doubt that at least 99.5+% of people fit in that category.

People can choose not to eat a McRib. They can grow their own vegetables. People can decide not to shop at Walmart. A family can opt for homeschooling.

They cannot decide not to be affected by the next governor unless they move to another state and then be under that state’s politicians.

It just has to be determined what bowl of crap they willing to digest.
