CDC: Don't blame us, we only make recommendations...it's the schools who are the ones trying to enforce it. Take it up with them.

Schools: Don't blame us...we are only going by what the CDC is recommending. Take it up with them.

It would be more productive to dump the government from pulling the strings of the public schools

Several states follow CDC recommendations, by the book. It is in their governing docs. I think Virginia being one of them that I heard. You know all the libnut states will force it on kids. Feel sorry for them.

Now that the drug companies have permanent immunity from liability claims on the COVID shots they can begin to be more truthful about it all.

"Moderna's CEO admits only the vulnerable need a COVID booster and likens the virus to flu"

The company's CEO Stéphane Bancel said his shots are mainly targeted at over-50s and people with underlying health conditions. His comments seem to be at odds with the CDC in the US.

That would be a nonsensical statement.

I feet sorry for anyone that likes freedom living in a libnuts state but that is on the state.

I only said that I don’t anticipate Texas following the CDC guidelines.

I would be willing to wager we will see school board members saying that exact sentiment in the not so distant future...I also suspect we will see districts in Texas attempt to implement unless abbott pulls a desantis.

I don't see our local school district requiring this. If they did, I guess the boy will be with me and mom a lot more. Daughter graduates this year.

I didn’t say there weren’t idiots on school boards or even school policy issues. If there is any doubt then simply watch the debates over text books and the history revisionists.

I think it is a ridiculous scapegoat if a school or state board passes it off on the CDC when it is not legal for the CDC to mandate. That would be like the upcoming Texas legislature in January taking away Texas constitutional carry because Joe Biden recommends it. If they do then the issue and blame is with the Texas legislature, not the opinion of someone who has no authority on the issue.

If mandatory vaccines is pushed successfully in Texas I will hopefully see a huge percentage of people pulling their children out of public schools.

I know politics seems to make people go off the rails but do you think Texas is going to push for mandatory Covid vaccines for school children?

That at least seems like a valid discussion.

I agree with y'all. I laughed when I heard on the radio that the real decision to mandate it will be up to the states. I commented, no, it is up to the parents.

I have wondered about the permanent liability shield for a while. Is that something that can be revoked by Congress? I would think at some point if the data continues to come out, there will be a push from somewhere to revisit the permanent immunity but then again, people didn't seem to question it before so why would they after the fact?

I don't know. I'm sure anything could be changed, but it won't be changed. From what I understand, any vax that's on the list for childhood shots automatically gets permanent liability immunity. The CDC doesn't give a crap about your kids and their well being. They are just making sure that the drug companies get liability protection on these shots that are killing people.
