    Potassium Iodide

Had a few buddies buy some pills on Amazon for potential nuclear radiation protection ….or if nothing else an investment to resell them if something goes nuclear elsewhere in the world and the population freaks out and tries to buy it up (think covid toilet paper rush).

I’m considering buying some for the latter reason. Thoughts?

If I had a truck load of Toilet paper in March 2020, that would have made some nice profit

Lol- this is exactly what I needed to know. Is there a local market for this stuff if a little nuke blows up overseas….. doesn’t look like it.

Might be hard to come by right now. Government just set aside something like 300 million to purchase the same.

People won't want to hear this. Instant head in sand reactions.

It's a high risk investment. Buy as much as you want. And do not feel guilty marking it up 20,000% and gouging the living crap out of all the people who think life will be rosy forever.

But there would be epic "gouging" threads and I'd laugh hard at them

11 years ago they were all sold out.

The three US government-approved suppliers of potassium iodide, a drug used as a protection against radiation sickness, have all sold out after a run on stocks from anxious west coasters fearful that the nuclear discharge from Japan was heading towards them. Mar 18, 2011

Better idea would be to buy stock in the maker and you'd be able to retire on your own ranch a year after the big bang.

Nplate is not potassium iodide and potassium iodide is not nplate. You're gonna need 2 trucks.

Buy Apple Pectin instead. Rumor has it those pills are not good...as in worse than what they were intended to protect from. Just what I heard.
