Playing our anthem at a time when it's cool to do so doesn't make them allies, and WWII has been over for a minute. You know, when the US came to their rescue and saved the entire world.

I know a few people from the UK and they don't give 2 chits about the US, they actually have disdain for our style of a republic.

Even during WWII, when we had volunteer pilots trying to help (before the US got into it), the Brits had a saying about American pilots: Overpaid, Overlaid, and Over Here.
