Doom and Gloom news

I have a few friends that are really tuning into the doom and gloom news. I say listen to that kind of stuff carefully. It seems to me like they take a small piece of information and expand it into a massive story.

Yes - the EU is in deep trouble. The price of electricity is going through the roof and putting massive businesses out of business. Manufacturing is stopping in the EU. They can't afford the electricity bill. Combination of the Paris climate accords and Putin cutting oil and nat gas is having a lot of pain. And it is just beginning. It will cross the pond and hit America.

AND

Still be careful of what you listen to. Studying the doom and gloom is studying the dark side. Don't let it consume you. Be informed and prepared.

Truth. Tucker Carlson had a big video the other day about this situation that was really good. It's already happening in California.

We’re seeing it play out here. You don’t have to dwell on it and you really can’t prepare for it. It’s a 360 onslaught. Let’s say you buy a whole house generator. Ok, fine and good. Then you can’t get natural gas for it. Or propane.

It is VERY easy to get overwhelmed. Especially when you start really digging in to things you start finding out that the media only reports on what they think you want to hear. So a LOT of things go unreported or underreported.


Despite popular belief, you can prepare for anything, it just depends on how deep your pockets are or how creative you can be. But even preparing for possible events can get overwhelming as well. It’s not easy to maintain a balance of keeping up with what is going on, preparing for possible events, and maintaining a healthy family life.
