IRS to hire 87,000 new agents

Has anyone thought about where they would actually get 87k people to work? Heck our local sonic can't even stay open because folks don't want to work these days. I guess the best place to start would be at the border, they would have the jobs fill with alternates in lest than three day.

There will be millions unemployed here soon enough.

My tax colleague buddy told me the agents he deals with now have no clue. Says he met one who was a philosophy major in college!

It’s worse than that. They’ll be able to request the audits slow down, but being as it was passed through “reconciliation” , it’s not as simple as just stopping it.

Can you provide the source of that info? Does include the breakdown by types of jobs? I worked in the Intelligence Community for nearly 30 years. There were the professionals, then the support/mouth-breathers, typically doing brain-dead jobs for a good wage, good benefits, and a retirement plan.

If I was checking into a new SCIF at 4:50 in the afternoon, I practically had no chance to get in, since the support/admin performed by these mouth-breathers were already to go home at 5:00. They did not care that my time was being charged at several hundred dollars per hour, regardless if I got in the SCIF, or not. The arrogance of the mouth-breathers was amazing.

Agreed. I do have a problem with manufactured cheating that some of these folks are bound and determined to find. The “reverend” Al Sharpton is a tax cheat and continues to go scott free

I maybe felt that like at one time. But given where we are at today, if I could cheat my *** off and pay zero taxes I would in a heartbeat. Why should I let Racist Joe and his regime use my hard earned money to send to Ukraine, rebuild Minneapolis after Burning, Looting & Murdering, pay for their social justice programs telling me I have to respect the "fact" men can get pregnant and the list goes on. Taxes have become about wealth redistribution both up to the government (how is Pelosi, etc. worth millions on a less than $200k per year job) and down to the poor to buy votes. Look at how the government is using your tax money and tell me with a straight face we should be paying the taxes we pay!

We can all see with our eyes how many run TSA, USPS etc..

Anyone with a large business knows how to play the game and how they play it.
