Nope, it is just the opposite. China can build at a high quality level, but the Amazon and Walmart shoppers of this country demand cheap crap that we will just replace with more cheap crap when it breaks. All we care about, for the most part, is how cheap can we buy an item. China does not just sell to us. They sell to the whole world. Not only that, but we do not have the industrial manufacturing capabilities anymore. They do.

True, we do export some food to them, which is probably why their government has been stockpiling food like crazy for the last year or two. China also now owns several ranch/farm/food production facilities here. So is it counted as an export if China owns the food when it is produced, and then ships it to themselves?

We need them more than they need us.

Who do you think makes replacement parts for a large amount of our critical infrastructure? We don’t.

Even if we did cut ties completely with China(which would be an escalation in their eyes), all the have to do is to convert all those factories that make the cheap crap into factories that crank out military equipment. We did it during WWII, make no mistake they can do the same.
