This sounds like the same conversation I have with my Mom. The thing that aggravates me the most is that she’s not stupid. I’ve come to believe that her generation is so conditioned to believe the “news” that they can’t process something that doesn’t match what the news is saying.

There is hope. That was my mom as well to a T. All it takes is a real life experience against what the news is telling her and it will click. I remeber the day it clicked and my mom calling me absolutely furious over something she saw on msnbc which was her daily news source. My mom wears Trump socks now everywhere. Never thought i would have seen such a transiotion in someone in all my life
