AI is coming to the world whether we are ready and comfortable for it or not. No different than any other technological advancement, some peeps will use it for evil deeds.
As much as I dislike seeing what might be possible with it, I would rather see it developed in the US first before China develops it.Comment

No one has been paying attention. The real AI is not going to be labeled AI. Did you believe we were so behind in the cyberwarfare game when Nicolas Chaillan stepped down? It was just a nice story tailored for a 24 hour news outlet. Did you observe that we were able to retrieve a ransom from the colonial pipeline hack? Do you think that was possible from human intelligence or even human programming. How do the Ukrainians know just when to hit sites with Russian Generals? How long before the invasion did the USA know it was going to happen? Apparently not long enough to allow for an orderly exit from Afghanistan but soon enough not to be held as hypocrites. Have you noticed China has slowed down the saber rattling on Taiwan? Machine learning is real and it is teaching itself to monitor worldwide communications in whatever language in real time.
