OK, so I read up a little on Abbott's border security crackdown and I don't see how the courts were able to rule it unconstitutional. Of course online articles didn't indulge in the legal babble that might have cleared up the confusion. Wasn't Abbott just enforcing trespass laws? Would it have been different if the county's along the border had changed their laws to increase penalties for trespass and maybe made it an offense with a minimum fine and a minimum bail amount? Would it take state legislatures to be able to funnel those fines/bail to property owners who have incurred property damage? I think this was one of Abbott's better ideas. Did it just need tweaking?

Nobody here to wash my sock and blue jeans, put another log on the fire or cook me some bacon and beans. Too bad she don't have a kid sister.Last edited by muzzlebrake; 02-18-2022, 04:56 PM.
