I'm glad you (taxidermy) and your negativity wasn't in control of getting something positive done regarding the virus and the message to the nation.
Trump isn't perfect we all know that, but there is a difference in what Trump was saying in order to keep a positive upbeat tone in the face of a potential health crisis rather than one of doom and gloom.
These quotes were made early on when little was known about the virus.
You and the other quoter on here (mwk) seem to be in lock step when it comes to bashing Trump.
I don't think anyone is giving Trump a pass, I can look past some rough spots on someone that gets things done rather than a complete incompetent liar like the current president.

You will never find someone to be president that you won't be at odds with over something or another, as a whole Trump was a great president on getting things done, even when most were against him politically and even more so personally.

I agree he was a great president. The best in my life.. I've said it many times.. I had 5 Trump flags flying on my property for a year after the election was stolen.. I bet you didn't..
All that being said it is time for him to shut up about the vaccines.. They are a total fail.. Any argument otherwise is total speculation. What we do know is that they do not work.. Enough with the vaccine nonsense...

i'm going to play devils advocate here: let's just say that there were never any vacs brought out. would the death toll be less or higher?
there has never been a vac that is 100% safe for anyone

i sure don't blame Trump, it was Brandon that said he was going to"shut down this virus".... and here we are with more deaths than under Trump.

didn't brandon say if the president had (X) amount of deaths due to the virus, he shouldn't be president?
the virus has (supposedly) killed more now, yet brandon doesn't talk about stepping down due to his failure.
it's time to sweep this virus B.S. under the rug and get on with life.

and hopefully hold some folks accountable for the damage that they have done to this country, but i won't hold my breath.

We can never know the true answer to that question. But if you're going to play advocate then don't leave out the rest of the possibility. If we had never had the vaccines would the medical profession been allowed to, or more apt to have used the available therapeutics that most refused with the availability of vaccines? Which one would have saved more lives and how many other possibilities would there have been for treatment if "vaccinate" wasn't the only "option"?
How many more lives were lost as a result of having vaccines in that scenario?

If only somebody would have suggested things like that such as HCQ, ivermectin, etc. early on before the jab was developed right… I imagine things would be a lot different

I specifically remember someone going on TV in a live press conference talking about those specific therapeutics and the media, democrat party, and half the Republican Party having an absolute meltdown saying don’t do anything besides wait for a vaccine cause anything else will kill you. Then vaccine comes along, and it’s “don’t take it cause it was developed under a certain president”, and now the tune is “you have to take the vaccine or else” by a specific group of people.

It's funny how people tend to forget these things that you mention.
It's obvious there is more important things for the democrats, some republicans and even the health community, than preserving and protecting the health of American citizens.
There was/is so much money to be made and control to be had by these evil people that there is no trust in anything they say or do, even the statistics that they spout off about are full of lies and half truths.
