There is no choice here. It's outright blackmail. Do what I want you to do or I will punish you. In your case, I am glad you had a good outcome, and I hope your old company suffers bigly.

My wife did this about 6 weeks ago. She got the company wide email yesterday. I’m cautiously optimistic that her exemption will stand. Either way, she refuses to get the jab. We both had COVID last year. She’s an RN/BSN and now a nurse manager. She supervised the COVID testing clinic and tested hundreds of people herself over the last year+. She bends over backwards for her company and her patients, and this is the thanks she gets. Sad, shameful state that our country is in.
