The cesspool called Austin, TX strikes again...

What a shameful, disgusting group of turds. Austin's leaders need to pack up and move to the pacific northwest. Apparently Austin's Annual Veterans Day Parade had to be canceled by the event organizers due to the idiotic "covid mitigation efforts" put in place by the radical leftist running Austin. Some interesting stuff in the article. Keep in mind Austin features a college football stadium seating 80-100k screaming fans all fall. We just had a huge F1 race at the Circuit of the Americas a week or two back. They have a professional soccer team who's stadium seats 20k fans. All of these venues operate without interruption. Its not about science, its about destroying the best America has to offer.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has invited military veterans in Austin, Texas to gather at the state capitol building after their Veterans Day parade was cancelled due to the city’s coronavirus restrictions.

Should have held the parade anyway and called it a protest.

        Let's go Brandon.

Austin’s council is a bunch of nuts, but this is the Foundation’s decision based on their perceived inability to do what all the other event organizers have been able to.
            Something doesn’t quite smell right.

Maybe the Foundation doesn't have the financial backing that UT football, F1, major league soccer or whatever its called, has. Jump through hoops, go to hell Austin. Real time, check it yourself, there are 116 people hospitalized "with Covid", per the Austin Travis County Covid Dashboard. That is out of a 5 county Austin MSA encompassing 2.5 plus million people, not including uncounted, illegal immigrants. Think about that for a minute, 116 hospitalized, not sure if they are in the hospital from covid or simply have covid and are there for another reason. No one can seem to answer that question. Do the math, my calculator gives me an error message when I divide 116 by 2.5 million. Tell me again why our veterans couldn't be honored in Austin Texas?

Because the Foundation decided to cancel the event. Others seem to be able to gather in large numbers outdoors in Austin, so it’s obviously possible.
Why they cancelled I don’t know, but inability to meet a bar that other groups are regularly meeting doesn’t seem like a plausible explanation for pointing the finger at Austin.
I wonder if there’s another reason and they just cast it this way for either political purposes (no doubt Abbott did) or to distract from the real reason.

Yeah I understand that technically the Foundation pulled out. Maybe they don't have the budget and staff to jump through all of the hoops that an ACL Fest, UT football, etc. has. My main point is still how idiotic the "covid mitigation protocols" are in Austin. The idiots in Austin are hypocrites and liars. .0000464, this is the percentage of people hospitalized in the Austin MSA right now with or from covid.
