My wife and I "cut the cord" nearly a decade ago, and never looked back. We were at my in-laws the other day, and the topic of why we dont have cable/satellite, came up. So I pointed out one of the commercials they scoff at so much, and said "because that's where those folks get their money". They've since started the process of cutting out dish as a result.
