We have this in our school district , only it’s called watch dogs. I think it’s probably the best idea I’ve seen come out of public schools. Kids act much differently when it’s a dad walking the halls and it always made me feel much more comfortable knowing there were some dads on campus every day.

In the evenings and on weekends. Most of America doesn’t work a 9-5. Took me a while working up the ranks before that happened.

I did this when my son was in elementary and middle school. My work let me take off as volunteer hours and helping the community. Was a great time and since my son is in high school now, I still get to see a lot of the kids I have been able to watch grow up.
