    Got fired for refusing vaccine?

Please don't derail this thread. Please post on this thread as I want to see how many people are actually getting fired for refusing to get the vaccine. Also say who you worked for (can be contractor for Fed, State, or private company etc.) and what you did.

I was told to get the shot or get fired. We are contracted thru a general contractor working for a hospital that mandated it.

Most hospital systems around here are firing unless can prove religious reasons. Only one of the big systems are not currently requiring it. I’m sure they will after the few that leave their jobs to go there due to this reason are hired on for a while. Easy way for them to get employees that will then have no where else to go for that reason/ already in their system/ we also can’t work without other shots though like flu, Hep etc

Got a letter last week if you are not vaccinated then we have to turn in negative test results on the 1st and 15th of every month and if not turned in in time subject to being fired. We have heard there is a unofficial black list for those that are not vaccinated. Testing has to be done on our own time and our own dime. We have had afew guys that have been fully vaccinated and still got covid. Real don't understand the logic.

Small engineering company in Houston, but around 150 people. Got an email saying they are holding off on making a decision but right now it's your choice. Good luck to everyone dealing with this.

Private company with nearly 100% work from govt. We are told it is mandatory by January 1. No responses yet about religious exemptions nor no information how they will accommodate. No responses about what will happen to those that do not comply.
Doesnt matter if you work 100% from home or 100% in office.

This, we lost a bunch of good people because of this. Between this and a bunch of people wanting to work from home instead of coming in and not really “working” from home, it’s a total sh*tshow right now.

Are covid tests free? I would hope the companies would at least offer free testing for those who don't want to be Guinea pigs and still want to work.
