Got my vax.. JandJ

I work for a federal fire department, we have until november 8th to get our vax, so i went ahead and did it on shift yesterday. I got the shot at 4, at about 10 i started getting a headache and chills.. i was up the whole night puking with fever and chills, thank god we didnt get any calls last night because i would not have been able to function on scene. The headache went away at about 3 this afternoon, i got home at 8 and slept until 2. Its been miserable.. i hate our pedo president. And before one of the idiots comes on here and says "its not our presidents fault, you didnt have to get the shot", i have a eife and kid and cant afford not to provide for them...

Sorry to read that, hopefully it goes away quickly. If you don't mind can I please ask if you've had Covid before and have natural immunity? A few of us are in the same situation recent infections and recover and the mandates are coming down on us all. I've read that negative reactions are worse when you've got immunity.

I dont know if ive ever had covid, i do know in december 2019 i went to the clinic with flu like syptoms and a rash, they tested for the flu and strep and both were negative. They did blood woork and could see i had a viral infection but had no idea what it was, gave me a z pak and vitamin c and i cleared up in about a week. Then i spent all of 2020 and the first part of 2021 with a city department and was exposed to covid all the time and never got it during that time [emoji2369]

There is nothing wrong with the vaccine, it works reduces symptoms and chance of hospitalization. Natural immunity is very powerful, arguably more powerful than the shot. Many people have died that wouldn’t have if they had gotten shots. Many people don’t have any symptoms no matter what. These are all facts, the fact that there is a mandate with so many things that are all true is the tragedy of this entire thing. People should have the right to make their own decisions and I don’t blame anyone for any decision they make.

I got the J&J and the worst part was pulling the bandaid off later. I also just got a shingles vac and that took me out. I couldn't work the next day either.

I believe for some people, especially those that are higher risk it may help but to say there is nothing wrong with the vaccine is inaccurate. Just the short term adverse effects are piling up and we have no clue what the long term effects will be. Here are the short term adverse event numbers and these are not even a year out.... and these are only the reported ones, some health care systems are not even reporting to VAERS.

VAERS data released Friday by the CDC included a total of 778,685 reports of adverse events from all age groups following COVID vaccines, including 16,310 deaths and 111,921 serious injuries between Dec. 14, 2020 and Oct. 1, 2021.
