I've spent my whole life in the church without much discussion on the literalism of unbelievable things we read about in the bible. I accepted Christ at a young age. The unbelievable story of the virgin birth, perfect existence, most unjust punishment ever committed, completeness of the sacrifice, undeniable death, complete resurrection of Him, and ascension by Him IS the wildest (most impossible) story ever told, and, it literally actually happened.

Then you ask, but how can the entire world be flooded, how can a sea part, how can a donkey talk? Just good stories not literal, they (alot of the church) says. Dont talk about it, it makes us uncomfortable and we dont want to be seen as science deniers. But we beleive in a risen savior? Oh yes!

The flood happened literally, where is the boat? I dont know, but its remnants are out there. Just like the leftovers of pharos army, and the bones of Balaams donkey.

If they aren't then dont tell me God came to earth, died, and rose Himself from the grave. The ark, like everything in the bible, IS the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Let's talk about it!

The majority of Christains are biblically illiterate and zone out when teachers started explaining the context of Hebrew...

Like "world" in Scripture most likely would have meant the "known world".

Add that into mathematics and science and the flood is 100 percent creditable.

                        but...I digress.
