Supply Chain threat and Transportation Open Letter

I read my Epoch Times this morning and with some interest read about transportation and shipping groups warning of a world wide supply chain meltdown. Article

While an interesting read, what caught my attention was a comment in the side bar about the actual open letter sent to the UN and World Health Organization.

In it, these shipping organizations and associations demand a digital world wide vaccine passport and transportation and shipping employees get priority for vaccines.

We ask that our transport workers are given priority to receive WHO recognised vaccines and heads of government work together to create globally harmonised, digital, mutually recognised vaccination certificate and processes for demonstrating health credentials (including vaccination status and COVID-19 test results), which are paramount to ensure transport workers can cross international borders.
Communists and satan never dreamed this was going to be so easy. All of this for a virus that has a 98% survivability rate.

I caught this yesterday too and it’s pretty bleak

I can tell you first hand why the shipping companies want the digital universal pass and that’s because it’s gotten so difficult for us to make crew changes around the world with everyone having different rules and regulations. Some of our crewmen were forced to remain onboard for more than a year in 2020 due to corona and the cost associated with managing each individual countries corona protocols is very high.
The global supply chain is in major trouble and if they continue to manage the virus the same way it will crash.
This is why you see the Europeans moving on, they understand you just can’t stop life any longer as the repercussions are much worse than the virus. Our pathetic Democrats will continue to use it to control the population while at the same time putting some of our most productive members of society on the unemployment line, exasperating the medical “crisis” and the supply chain issue.
The current response here could not be more wrong!

Are any parts of our country still shut down? I thought everyone was fully open now.

This is a podcast I listen to weekly (Cleared Hot with former Navy Seal Andy Stumpf). This week's guest was very intriguing. He touched on a lot of different topics, but he really made my mouth fall open on the upcoming food shortage issues. Great podcast all the way through. This is the video, but you can find it under Cleared Hot on your podcast app.

The shut downs had long lasting effects that we are still dealing with. We had a just in time supply chain and the lockdowns threw the biggest monkey wrench any of us have ever seen into it.

To top it off, the new vaccine mandates will make the problems infinitely worse. Vaccine mandates don’t effect those not working.

Add to these problems all of the natural disasters that we have had over the past few months as they are contributing factors to the problems too. Now there is talk about another hard winter coming.

No matter how you look at it, the future for anything that we purchase looks bleak. I hope and pray everyone is prepared, but I know that few are.

Was going to something similar. We experienced crew change issues, conflicting state and port requirements, etc., so the request is really more about maintaining a functional supply chain than anything intentionally evil. Besides you can’t really get fired up about this if you’ve already gotten a TWIC card.

I do think there will be some kind of global government that emerges from this. It won’t be the end of national sovereignty but it will weaken it in a traditional sense in some areas.

Maybe the UN obtains more authority or maybe some new entity begins to gel. I don’t know. I am admittedly just thinking out loud.
