    My Ivermectin experiment.

My son came home from TAMU, late Thursday, for a three-day weekend at home.

Early Friday, he does not feel well, but not completely sick. By Friday afternoon, he was clearly sick, and he was sweating profusely.

Saturday morning, he has a 100 degree fever, aches and pains, and clogged sinuses. My wife schedules a covid test for him, and I give him a dose of Ivermectin (pour on). The test result does not get back, until Tuesday, but we needed to know sooner, since he is scheduled to go back to school, on Sunday. From a friend, we got a home covid test, and sure enough he has it.

Saturday night, another dose of Ivermectin for him and my wife. At this point, he has a sore throat, and he has lost his voice.

Sunday morning, his fever is gone, and he is feeling much better. Still has the sore throat.

So here is where this gets interesting, to me. I started Ivermectin, three weeks ago. My wife and son have been on the vitamin regimen (A, C, D and zinc) for nearly a year. I just take a multi-vitamin.

The incubation period is usually 5-8 days. So it will be interesting to see if either my wife or I get Covid. I just started her on Ivermectin, yesterday, and like I said, I started three weeks ago.

Will update next weekend, once Covid has had the time to make us sick.

One other thing. I may of had Covid, last October. I had some sinus problem that was below and behind my eyes, combined with a mild fever. Gone after two days, but this was an illness I had never experienced.

          Early update, with Dad Humor.

My son is getting better, pretty quickly. A slight spike in fever, this afternoon, and he still has a sore throat. The fever is controlled with Tylenol. No report from the clinic, so no other therapies.

I can say this. I know my son, well, and I know when he feels bad. He is on the uptick. He has his sense of humor back.

Since his throat hurts, both me and my wife have advised him to gargle with hot, salt-water.

          WARNING: Dad Joke Ahead

Me: Watching him gargle salt water.
Me: Son, you have to tilt you head back, then blow bubbles from your lungs.
Son: That is what I am trying to do, but it triggers my gag-reflex.
Me: Well, that means you aren't Gay.

We both laughed, another sign that he is on the mend.

What is his blood type? O- and O+ have more resistance to the virus with much milder symptoms, O- being the most resistant.

Ivermectin has worked for many people we know.

I have no idea, about our blood types.

                        Update, on my son:
Ivermectin or not, he has been sick. This is a 6' 190 lb. horse, that rarely gets sick. He was born nearly two months, premature, and he never got sick in the NICU. Tonight, he told me that he feels better now, than when he first showed signs, last Friday. He has his appetite back.

The reason I give this update, is that COVID is not something to blow off. I have no way to determine if Ivermectin helped, in this case. Maybe it did, or not.

The more interesting part is how my wife and I hold up, after being exposed to an active case of COVID, for going on six days, in our house. We are not masking up. We are not social distancing. We are not wiping things down. I.E. We are getting exposed, at home.

Outside the house, we are taking precautions, to prevent the spread.

About to head to the ranch, so no more updates, for a couple of days.

Glad he's feeling better. That's been the interesting part of all of this for me as well. It's so random. I have known many people that have had a covid positive family member(s) but the rest of the family or certain members of the family didn't get it. It's almost like the virus is predisposed to attack people with certain genetic traits. I've been reading all I can about this trying to formulate my own conclusions. The blood type study is a very interesting thing to me. I also firmly believe that there are people that were/are going through life with underlying conditions that they have no clue about. Thus potentially increasing the severity of covid when they contract it.

I guess when you modify and mutate viruses in a lab you can design it any way you see fit and who it will target.

I went through a similar situation 10 months ago with my wife. She was sick, low fever, no appetite, couldn't keep anything down, aches and pain, and just didn't feel good. Didn't go to the dr. but to the pharmacy for testing (+). I was in the house with her and taking care of her for about a week till she was getting up and around on her own. Still tested + at 10 days and finally - at 15 days. We had been exposed twice before she got sick and twice since. I'm doing preventative and haven't had any issues so far.

We are still continuing on with life. Go to the store, church, around groups.
