Eric Weinstein explaining systematic failure of leadership

This is pretty good. Recommend watching/listening as he discusses the root of the problem instead of the symptoms.

Guess I’m not familiar with the latest rub with Bret. Quick google search just pulled up when he was fired in 2017 from Evergreen

Bret Weinstein (Eric’s brother) has his own podcast with his wife Heather Heying. They are both evolutionary biologists and discussed the virus at length through many episodes as the pandemic unfolded. His podcast also addressed the vaccine in December 2020, which @aethling posted here, and both Bret and his wife were skeptical. Recently, they did an episode where Bret endorsed ivermectin. I haven’t listened to the episode yet, but my understanding is that the uproar was not necessarily about his advocacy for using ivermectin but more a critique for his reasoning.

Also he went on Tucker Carlson with a similar message. https://www.foxnews.com/media/biolog...-moots-vaccine

The podcast linked above with his brother was intended to focus on this topic, but Eric does a great job of discussing the systematic failure of leadership that created the controversy around the vaccines and ivermectin. He also makes some brutally honest statements about his own choice.

I’m familiar with Dark Horse podcast, just didn’t realize their view had created that much uproar. I didn’t get to listen to much of the link you posted with Eric. In my opinion, the fact that Bret, a classically trained PHD in evolutionary science can’t have a differing hypothesis is just another piece of evidence that this is being pushed by an agenda. Competing hypotheses is what science is about, at least it once was!
