How many read this in their night vision?

This is in my PVS-14 Military Night Visiion.

When I bought it as a civilian I was told and it may have been posted
DO NOT TAKE OUT OF THE COUNTRY UNDER PENALTY OF LAW!

This is a picture of the military handbook from my night vision

Why is it any different for our president?

We had a Private lose a set We had to do hands across the dessert for over 2 weeks before they were found. Private was Field Graded if I recall correctly. Sensitive item. Used to be anyway.

      Itar

The reason your manual has this is ITAR.

"The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is the United States regulation that controls the manufacture, sale, and distribution of defense and space-related articles and services as defined in the United States Munitions List (USML).

Besides rocket launchers, torpedoes, and other military hardware, the list also restricts the plans, diagrams, photos, and other documentation used to build ITAR-controlled military gear. This is referred to by ITAR as “technical data”."

I have been ITAR certified, over and over. Basically, this regulation applies to U.S. citizens and corporations. The government is exempt.

Does it not pertain to our president?
I’m sure most of the weapons and aircraft have the same regulation.

I would be in prison for ever if I lost 1 pair in another country.

ITAR is in place to prevent the sale of our Military/Intelligence data and products to foreign agents, by U.S. citizens and corporations. It does not apply to the government. Biden is scot free on this.

And I'd find this very funny if it weren't so tragic.

The night vision in my opinion was one of the worst things we left behind. In my opinion, we deal with small arms fire a lot. But the night vision for our soldiers allowed us to rule the night.

Didn't a Navy sailor get a year in prison for just taking a pic in a submarine versus leaving the actual classified equipment in terrorist hands? How does that compare? Lock him up!
