This is one reason why we made the decision

To move my daughter to private school for her senior year. Regretting not doing it sooner
They believe it’s my decision on how to handle my child’s health care.

Dear Parents and Guardians, August 16, 2021

You have been blessed with an incredible gift, your children. You have the joy and privilege of raising them. That is your God given responsibility. Teaching children the values of respect, hard work, compassion, empathy, and countless other characteristics is up to you. Helping your children grow to discover and develop their talents and interests is your responsibility. Seeing to it your children are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to be employed and contribute to the community also falls on you. Most importantly raising your children in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is what I believe is the highest honor and privilege for a parent or guardian.

LEAH Schools are here to help you with the responsibilities you have of raising your children. We are not here to take your place but rather to partner with you. You entrust us to assist you with preparing your children to be everything God wants them to be and we are honored.

I share these thoughts with you in order for you to better understand the reasoning behind our plans for starting this 2021-2022 school year. There is a great deal of controversy over what the policies and protocols should be for schools to begin the school year. We believe since you are the parent or guardian the decision of whether or not your children wear masks in school is up to you. That is your responsibility and privilege. Likewise, if your children are of age, getting a COVID vaccination is your decision. It is not appropriate for LEAH schools to make these significant decisions for you through requirements. With this being said, at this time we will begin this school year with masks and age appropriate COVID vaccinations being optional.

As we face the start of this new school year with the COVID cloud over our heads, live in hope and peace knowing we have a God who loves all of us and remains in control. He never abandons us, but rather continues to walk with us and protects us.

Thank you for taking time to read this letter. God bless you and your family throughout the 2021-2022 school year.

    In Christ’s love,

When we go to God by prayer, the devil knows we go to fetch strength against him, and therefore he opposeth us all he can.

A good private school isn't cheap but it's worth every penney to keep your children from being indoctrinated with CRT and all the nonsense these liberals are trying to force down our throats!

Great! I too have my son in a private school. But I worry for how long it will be allowed. Some states are already canceling the ability to choose to home school/private school.

She was hesitant at first but after we visited she was in. She is playing volleyball which she hasn’t played since her freshman year because you are basically pushed to choose one in a big school so that’s already been positive. Hopefully She will get a lions share of time on the softballs field this spring to round out her high school career and they have nice facilities. the staff have been amazing through the transition and she will be in a Christian based environment. I’m really excited for her and I hope it makes for a great senior year.

You and she have made a great choice. I made the decision to send both of my sons to private Christian High Schools after going to public for K-8. Neither were being challenged academically in public school and more importantly I felt like high schoolers can benefit from having God in their life everyday. It seems to have worked out well for both of them, now 33 and 30.

My daughter took 4 dual credit college classes this past year. She needed some help along the way so I naturally helped her out. I was stunned to see what she didn’t know, I’m talking basics and she has taken advanced classes in jr high and high school and made good grades. I guess I have to take responsibility for not knowing it until now but you just assume if your kid is in advanced classes and doing ok that they are getting what they need in terms of Education but I was wrong for assuming.
More than anything I hope she finds direction for the next stage in her life, I hope a teacher(s) sees her strengths and weaknesses and helps her determine what she wants to do with her life. In a public school you are just a number in a big crowd and I’m hoping the smaller environment will benefit her in that area.

Unfortunately I can’t find the source but there was a ton of literature on it about different states considering moving towards that when they have seen considerable drop in public school enrollment. Some states starting to add more restrictive measures to homeschooling etc. there was a bit in there about California and the freedoms parents have in choosing alternative education. The article I read at the end summarized the public school system well and basically said what most of us already know. It’s about control and loyalty of your children to the state.

I’ll check this evening with the wife see if she can pull a link.
