    Delta Variant

I have not been a fan of the mask, nor most of the related stuff to Covid. In the last 3 weeks I know 6 people that passed away from it. Have you guys seen an increase in deaths from it? I did get vaccinated a few months ago, not sure if it will help or not but I did get mine a couple months back.

No I have not seen more deaths. I have seen pretty healthy people developing pneumonia causing major problems.

I have lost a bunch of friends this year to the rona. I hear those that say it's no different than the flu but in my time on this earth I can't remember losing a friend to the flu.

If you can even trust any of these numbers, the chart here shows the deaths are very low compared to previous spikes.

Of this entire pandemic, I know of only 1 person who has “died of COVID”. She was extremely obese and probably 65.

I have a large family, a large friend network, and a very large work/client network. I know 1.

I have to say, HoustonHunter has a point.

I know more people who died of cancer,
More people who died of stroke or heart disease,
More people who have died of the flu, and, he!!,
I even know more people who have died of food poisoning! Food poisoning? I didn’t you could actually die from it.

I’m just a simple gal, but I’ve walked on this earth for many years, seen many things, and learned many lessons. One of these lessons is that when what you are told does not agree with what you observe, well, as the simple child once said, “But the Emperor has no clothes!”

As often is the case, it is the simplest among who see through the “clutter.” That’s me; a simpleton, and proud of it.

I have a couple of healthy buddies that have had a bad run lately. One spent 12 days and recovered. The other is on day 13 and I haven’t been able to contact him the last 2 days. His wife either. Docs want to put him on on a ventilator. Please pray for Bobby. Like you said, it’s the pneumonia. I’m worried about him.

Sorry to hear about your buddies. Prayers up. Do you know what type of protocol was used to fight the virus off? Also, were either of them taking any preventative measures before becoming ill?

The cdc is reporting that Texas has 490 covid deaths over the last 7 days. They link Texas dhs as their source which shows only 101 deaths in last 7 days.

I’ve emailed them asking for an explanation.

Like everyone says its the pneumonia yet in another thread tbh member was diagnosed with pneumonia and sent home with no meds.......that's crazy. No antibiotics, no budesonide, no steroids......just come back when you can't breathe. I've never seen anything before that they refuse to treat at least the symptoms until you can't breathe. An asthma attack gets more attention

Covid is still wayyyy down the list of leading causes of death in USA...

Sure miss those days of being able to hunt a lease for a nominal cost that didn’t create greed and a feeling of despair if you didn’t kill something!

I know a lot more people with coronavirus right now than I have in the past, but not hearing of near as many deaths. I know of 2 who died from it. Both 8-10 months ago. 1 of them was the perfect candidate to die from it. Lots of health problems. The other, just flat out should not have died, very healthy man. I just got over it about 10 days ago, my wife is on day 13 with it. She has been in pretty rough shape but made a 90* turn in the right direction about 2 days ago and is finally feeling decent. She was also sent home with very little help. They did give her a Z pack and told her to ride it out. She's 7 months pregnant with twins. Then called 4 days later and nonchalantly mentioned that she also had pneumonia. We, on our own, started her on treatments with our 2 year olds nebulizer and saw immediate results. I mean a HUGE difference in 30 seconds. Sauna prayer for her if you will. But I do believe we are on the back side of this one.

Have a friend that’s a nurse practitioner and works icu. He got it and was in the hospital for 5 days or so and is home but on oxygen but getting better. Have another friend that got it along with his wife. She got over it and he didn’t. He’s been in the hospital almost 2 weeks and they put him on a vent yesterday. No budesonide, vit c, vit D, or zinc has been given. Doc told his wife that the vent was the best chance he had since is oxygen sat was staying low. He has pneumonia. She has even asked about a couple of treatment options other than the meds above and was given the excuse “not part of protocol”... they basically treat based off the cdc guidelines. I passed the word to DEMAND the above treatment at high level IV doses of vitamins.

They treat off covid protocol not pneumonia protocol, insane. When did we quit treating symptoms, when its not good politically?? Even horses with pneumonia get antibiotics and anti inflammation drugs (steroids).......

You hear this all the time. It’s insane. It’s time to start holding these people accountable.
