Not bad. Think I got infected last Thursday on the 29th in Florida.
Didn't take long to notice a painful cough in my chest with some crap that was hard to cough up. Wife had a thermometer and checked me regularly. Never got a fever (or even close to a fever). Still had my taste and smell but started losing it on the trip home from Florida on Sunday morning (August 1st).
I went and got tested on Tuesday (August 3rd). Came pack positive in a few hours. They checked me while I was there. Oxygen and BP were "great". Nothing going on.
No other symptoms. Except the cough and that's not been a constant thing. Maybe a slight headache but I get those all the time prior to covid.
Today has been about a week since it started. I've been taking zinc, B complex, C.
Good deal...hope you're past the worst of it. Have one of them boys make a trip to TSC for ya
I don't think there's anything that can actually relieve the loss of smell and taste. I'm going through it right now. It's only been a week for me.
How long has yours been gone?
Since early February.. and hasn’t returned in the least bit. From rain, flowers and my girlfriend to my dog’s farts and my own breath- I can’t smell anything.
I never lost my sense of taste, only smell briefly.
I have noticed though that even 6+ months later I have stretches where EVERYTHING smells the same. It's like a stuck memory... for the last couple weeks it's been tortillas.
Doc says it's like the phantom cigarette smoke thing, where you "think" you smell cig smoke when there's not a cig within miles of you.
Yes I often smell a burnt smell and will ask others what the smell is; it’s usually nothing.

i get that smell when my allergies start acting up every year. smells like cigarette smoke. i actually accused my wife of sneaking around and smoking a few years ago. that's when i figured out where it was coming from.
I’m on day three as of today. I have gout and arthritis in my left foot. This morning I woke up and the swelling is gone! The big toe joint is normally painful and inflamed but not as of this morning. Interesting.
I didn’t lose smell with my bout, but the other day for a few hours -out of the blue- I couldn’t smell anything- including French roast coffee.
Then it slowly came back throughout the day.
Good to hear the arthritis results.
I’m gonna try to get my father on an Ivermectin regiment for that reason alone.
When my wife had it (very light symptoms and gone in less than 10 days), her sense of taste and smell have really not returned to pre Kung-flu yet and she had it last year early on in this mess... She's in the OR at a major trauma center hospital here in the Houston area... She can smell/taste, but just not as well as before... OR chemical/medical smells she says are the most frustrating because she always was able to rely on her sense of smell to help keep her safe from "sudden releases"... NOT NOW... YET!
Ugh. Just took my first does. Did the paste raw and it tastes worse than unripe persimmons. Lol
I didn't think it was that bad. My first dose I just licked off the spoon. Not a great taste. It reminded me of getting lotion or sunscreen in my mouth. Last dose I took I put on my tongue and washed down like a pill.

I licked it straight off a butter knife. Next time I’ll chase it with some Dr Pepper.
Figured I’d get going with it regardless. Went to a funeral today and evidently someone in the crowd ended up getting diagnosed with Covid right after it was over, so precautions must be taken. I never interacted with that person, but I’m not taking chances.

I just shoot it as far back on my tongue as I can. Gets it past the tastebuds.
