Texas was blue most of my adult life. Many of our grandparents or great grandparents witnessed the change in the republican party from anti trust and conservation minded Theodore Roosevelt to the big business trio of Coolidge, Harding and Hoover. They blamed the great depression rightly or wrongly on the concentration of wealth which occurred during these presidencies. Our Texas elders were for the most part all in on the ultra-progressive policies enacted during the FDR administration.

Be curious where they are settled at. 2000 votes in the right place could make some affects on local policies. Don’t think Disney wouldn’t work hand in hand with this administration

It all depends on who counts the votes. We all know the last election was corrupt.

In a 2018 exit poll in the hard-fought U.S. Senate race between Sen. Ted Cruz (who had moved to Texas) and then-Rep. Beto O’Rourke (a Texas native), natives preferred O’Rourke by plus-3 points whereas movers favored Cruz by plus 15. Cruz won the race by 2.6 percent, meaning that if it were up to people who were Texans by birth, Cruz would have lost reelection.

The other day I saw a bumper sticker on a Prius that said -

I’M SAVING MONEY ON GAS SO I CAN BUY MORE GUNS!

Yes, there are lots of transplants but don't be fooled to think native Texans are die hard Republicans. If you look at where things started shifting Red to Blue via map, you will see it is from inner metro areas and growing outward. Those who NEED the government to survive are the ones pushing the votes. As the minorities become the majority, so goes the votes.
